Building Hope Ministries helps to construct wells in South Asia as the need arises.  The cost of a well varies depending on the type of well and how far one must drill to reach the water table.  Some women and children may walk as far as four miles per day for water.  The time spent doing this could be used for other productive activities in their homes or communities.
